Assignment 2
Assignment 2 was to draw two things. Crayons began my artistic journey at a young age so I decided crayons would be the best objects to draw. Crayons create so many works of art, such as Don't Rain On My Parade shown earlier in my junior year. Don't Rain On My Parade is currently on display at the Beverly Arts Center and consists of crayon and sharpie. I glued the crayons to the top of the canvas and, using a hair dryer, warmed the wax so they would drip down the canvas and portray rain.
Photography
The photo below is a close up of my fire pit. It shows that no matter where you are you can find a star. If you sent your mind to something you can be a star even if it's for a short time or only for a small audience, as small as yourself. Anyone can be a star.
In fourth grade I went to London, England and I missed a week of school. To make up for my missed work my assignment was to write a short paper about my trip and include photos. In London I bought these two figures below, Big Ben and a double-decker bus. In the background is a San Francisco music box and a snow globe of the Golden Gate bridge. This picture represents the important aspect of travel and international studies among my family and friends. We are always connected with people all around the world and our little trinkets remind us of memories we shared with them.
My older sister gave me this necklace she bought in India. It's close to me because she is off at college and I don't see her much.
My mom always says "height is good. Don't be afraid to be tall."

Nature
Most of my photography is of nature./life When the sun is out and the sky is blue the trees and bushes become more vivid. When somebody looks at my photography I want them to feel happiness rather than sorrow. The emotional connection I have with my photos is happiness, I am generally a positive person and I want that to show through my work.
When I turn the corner to school this is the path I always take. When I can, I take this same photo because the sun is shinning through the fence and the leaves. It's a symbol that 'today is a new day, make it count, do your best'.
This basketball hoop has been in my front yard as long as I can remember. Although it isn't used much it's a reminder that sports are a part of my life. It is also a reminder of my goal, to jump high enough and reach the brim. Everyone needs goals.
The sun is also fun to take photos of. Like I stated earlier, nature on a nice day creates happiness. The sun is a positive reminder of our lives and the Earth's life. We depend on the sun and it is a star that deserves as much respect as possible.

Paint/Marker
Acrylic paint of the butterfly I photographed earlier.
I like to portray my happiness through my photos but also through my art. I did this painting in bright colours because I was in a good mood. I hope it is the first of many creations. The following 2 paintings were sold.
Although blue usually represents sorrow, I made this painting because I was wearing blue clothes. I am almost always in a good mood when I work on art. This painting, along with the one above, are created using acrylic paint and a spray bottle. The painting above is on top of an older piece and that resulted in the side ways V on the left.
I began this project with a circle and it became this. I am very pleased with the colours and that I finished the whole page.
Above is the Deathly Hallows symbol, this was taped on and painted over with acrylic paint. The colours represent the houses at Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. The water was used to blend the houses because the are all united with Gryffindor, and the colour hardly shows up on Slytherin because they are rivals of Gryffindor.
I sold this painting for $100.

This is the first draft for this project. The circles are to become spheres using lines that connect with the back lines. The small circle was originally a baseball but one day I decided I wanted it to be an eye.
